Project Challenger
Pre-mission: The idea is born.
Sometimes good idea will just run up to you and hit you smack in the middle of your face. It was like this with project challenger. It was a typical Saturday night. We were at a flat warming, drinking and laughing at those more drunk than us, as you do at a party. It was getting on in the night and we decided to pick up a couch that was just around the corner and take it back to its new home, Crispin's place. So Tom, Crispin, Kate and myself went round to this flat, picked up the couch and proceeded to carry it through town, late on a Saturday night. Well, what a legend way to attract attention to yourself, everyone we passed commented on the couch, asking for rides, wondering what we were doing. Luckily Tom happened to have his camera with him so we stopped on a corner and took a photo...

The closer we got to Courtenay Place, the more people there were and the more comments we got. It rocked. So we decided to stop in Cuba Mall and take another photo. Kate hadn't been drinking and was a little embarrassed but we were luving it. And then the game was raised to another level...

This chick just ran up and got in the photo with us, we were becoming legends, just by having a couch with us. Crispin had never found it so easy to pull chicks (check him out trying to chat her up already). It was rockafella shank. And so we moved on to Taranaki Street and still we attracted people. These two guys wanted to help out, but Crispy was too heavy, must have been all that beer he drank...
